Hey hey guys!!! So after reading the poll results, it seems more than a handful of you would be interested in entering my OC contest! My OC, Anna, is the main character in the fantasy novel series I've been writing for a long time. I had a contest over a year ago, the winners are on my profile page- right above the comments!! Go look!!!
Now that the plot has developed significantly, I'm more comfortable sharing her with you guys. A lot has changed- rather than being half-fairy, she is half-elf! And her story has changed a lot, but I won't be sharing a lot of that on here until it's actually written. And not just an idea floating in my head.  

We'll just stick to the basics!

Plot Summary- Anna is a 15 year old girl living in the South who discovers she is heir to the throne of an elven kingdom in an enchanted realm.
Personality- She's an odd, quirky, naive young girl- she's desperate to fit in with the popular crowd, she tries to change herself to fit their standards-- but they see right through her facade, and treat her cruelly for it. The start of the novel series she is publicly humiliated by her peers- I needed to break her spirit at the very beginning so she can begin her journey at odds with herself, filled with fear and self loathing-- that way when I build her up it's that much more rewarding.
***Very different than what I had originally wrote for her personality- she used to be this tough, cynical punk rock chick. But I realized that I had a hard time writing from a perspective I'm unfamiliar with. So, I decided that I was going to write...me. Anna is me. And writing her story has been terrifying and incredibly refreshing at the same time. Refreshing because of course, it feels good to express yourself; terrifying because of my fear that if it were to ever publish, or even if I showed this to my few followers on dA; that no one would like her. Ergo- no one would like me. Don't know if I have the strength to handle that. But I think it's important. It's important because it affects the quality of writing tenfold- and it's important for my own peace of mind to be honest about who I am, and who I was at the age of fifteen.

Enough rambling!

Physical Appearance
Hair- long, messy bright red flaming waves.
Eyes- bright silver
Face- oval, elfish features- big wide eyes, pert little nose, high cheek bones
Body- very tall for her age, 5'9ish and slender
Clothing Style- odd, quirky, mismatchy, dare I say a bit hipsterish? but not on purpose. she kind of has no clue about what is fashionable, and her and her aunt are poor, so she wears a lot of old, used clothes, or borrows her aunt's clothes- and her aunt is a total hippie, dresses like a fortune teller/gypsy. So yea.

OBJECTIVE:
Draw Anna! I don't care if it's a simple character draft, it doesn't have to be full body- a BG and color definitely helps, but isn't required....you could also do a book cover style...feel free to be creative, and don't hesitate to ask me more specific questions to help you get a better idea of her character- that option is available to everyone who enters, I won't hesitate to respond to notes.

DEADLINE:
For now we'll say August 15th. But that could totally change, I'll just see how many people are actually interested.
