"First I get a glimpse of the blond braid down her back. Then as she yanks off her coat to cover a wailing child, I notice the ducktail formed by her untucked shirt. I have the same reaction as I did the day Effie Trinket called her name at the reaping. At least, I must go limp, because I find myself at the base of the flagpole, unable to account for the last few seconds. Then I am pushing through the crowd, just as I did before. Trying to shout her name above the roar. I'm almost there, almost at the barricade, when I think she hears me. Because just for a moment, she catches sight of me, her lips form my name.
And that's when the rest of the parachutes go off."

I've had a really emotionally draining week, and I was in the mood to make some melancholy art. I drew this scene a few years back, here it is: [link]
Went with a different approach, tried out a muted color scheme.

Overall, I absolutely love this. Th eyes of Katniss are very origianl and full of emotion. I love everything about it! You do not see many illustrations of Prim's death much, so this really means alot to me as a fan. :)

The hair is nicely done. It's not 2D flat, as one might usually do. The clothes are nice, too. Prim is so pretty in this picture!

Kepp up the good work! You really should draw more of these types of pitures because they are so good and I love them very much! It really amazed me so much! :) Good job!

This was by far visually appealing. This was cute while also be acceptable for any age group, something very hard to find. I can give this picture 5 stars for originality because I haven't seen many renditions of Primrose Everdeen's death. The technique was very good in my opinion, but I can't really give an in-depth analysis, because I have do not have art skills. I noticed that Katniss's eyes had a look of horror, i.e. it portrayed an emotion. Something I don't normally see with amateur drawings (by amateur, I mean not a print). This definitely impacted me, because I liked it enough to put it on my tumblr and include it in my group's gallery, as well as favourite it. Overall, I really like this piece.

Okay so first of all, this looks SO GREAT. Your Katniss especially, but Prim too ! When I recall your art from a few months back, you did improve, really, be sure about that ! Katniss' expression, the movement of the hair, the colouring... Really cool ^^
Even if it's one of the most heartbreaking moments in the series >< Which is saying something, seeing how many heartbreaking moments there are in those books...
